黑曜石

阿兹特克帝国《佛罗伦萨手抄本》（1547年）记载：「特斯卡特利波卡神之夜目（Yohualli Ehécatl）乃黑曜石所化，萨满持此石镜可召神谕。」现存大英博物馆的蒙特祖玛二世黑曜石占卜镜（馆藏号：Am1844,0719.1），经X光衍射证实原料来自帕丘卡火山。
中国《史记·匈奴列传》载：「汉使至漠北，见单于佩『玄璃』刃，削铁如泥，夜则悬帐中如冷月。」内蒙古诺彦乌拉匈奴墓出土黑曜石短刀（M6:32），与司马迁记载互为印证。

Florentine Codex (1547 AD) states: "The god Tezcatlipoca's night eye (Yohualli Ehécatl) is obsidian. Shamans use mirrors made from it to receive oracles." The British Museum's Aztec divination mirror (Accession#: Am1844,0719.1) is chemically traced to Pachuca volcano.
Records of the Grand Historian notes: "Han envoys saw Chanyu (Xiongnu ruler) wield a 'dark glass' blade that cut iron. Hung in tents at night, it glowed like cold moon." This matches the obsidian dagger unearthed from the Xiongnu tomb at Noyon Uul (Excavation Report: NM-1986-M6).
